yogi: We ensured development of every section, person: UP CM Yogi Adityanath | Kanpur News

KANPUR: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Thursday that the mantra of ‘sabka saath sabka vikas aur sabka vishwas’ has been turned into a reality by bringing changes at the ground level. Yogi inaugurated projects of Rs 550 crore of various government departments in Kanpur.
“We ensured uplift of every section, every person, without discriminating on any basis. As a result, state (Uttar Pradesh) today is playing the leading role in remoulding the Indian economy and is ready to meet the aspirations of its 24 crore people,” the CM asserted.
The CM, who arrived at the DAV College ground near Phoolbagh to address a public meeting, first inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 550 crore. After this, he fed ‘kheer’ to five children, did ‘annaprashan’ and handed symbolic keys to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
“Industries got shut in Kanpur. If any city was blamed for spoiling the Ganga, it was Kanpur. But owing to PM Narendra Modi’s Namami Gange project, the Sismau drain of Kanpur, which once used to pour 14 crore liters of sewage water into the Ganga daily, has been completely closed,” Yogi said. He also flayed the opposition. “Before 2017, no benefits of the government schemes reached the poor and deprived. They either benefited selective people or were never meant to benefit people.”
Later in the day, the CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 46 development projects worth Rs 82 crore in Unnao.
While addressing a public gathering in Unnao, Yogi said, “Under the guidance of PM Modi, Uttar Pradesh has progressed rapidly. Over 42 lakh houses have been provided under the PM Awas Yojana, out of which nearly 60,000 houses have been provided in Unnao,” he added.
“This is the same UP where earlier no festival could be celebrated peacefully. On the contrary, there have been no riots in the state in the past four and a half years. The government has respected people belonging to every region and has given equal respect to every religion,”
