Woman Killed, Four Injured As Court Wall Collapses In B’sharif | Patna News


Biharsharif: A woman was killed and four others were injured when a wall of a Biharsharif court collapsed and fell on them around 9.30am on Friday.
Police said cops deputed at the court took all the five people to Biharsharif sadar hospital, where the doctors declared one Rajratia Devi of Vishnupur village under the Manpur police station area in Nalanda district, brought dead. The four other injured people were undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Nalanda Bar Council member Priya Ranjan Kumar said the 50-foot-long and 10-foot-high eastern wall of the sessions court had been in a dilapidated condition for long. “The court officials and the district administration had been requested for its immediate repair, but to no avail,” he added.
Nalanda SP Ashok Kumar Mishra, deputy development commissioner Vaibhav Shrivastava, Biharsharif sub-divisional magistrate Kumar Anurag and SDPO Shibli Nomani visited the spot soon after the incident to take stock of the situation.
The SDPO, who also visited sadar hospital, said the body of the woman was handed over to her relatives after autopsy.
“The condition of the four injured people is stable,” Nomani added.
