Dy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya flagging off garbage collection vehicles at Motijheel

KANPUR: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Saturday said that now all of us together have to give the slogan of ‘Swachh’ (Clean) Kanpur & ‘Swasth’ (Healthy) Kanpur. “Now the city corporation’s team will make Kanpur, the financial capital of UP, number one. This can happen only when the garbage is properly collected and transported to the right place,” said Dy CM further while flagging off a fleet of 25 garbage collection vehicles at Motijheel under Smart City Project limited.
Maurya further said that the Prime Minister had given the slogan of Swachh Bharat from Red Fort, so now we have to give the slogan of ‘Swachh Kanpur & Swasth Kanpur‘. “The Smart City team is doing a good job and the country, the state and Kanpur have changed with the double engine government,” he said.
“Now door-to-door collection of garbage would bring betterment. Look at the change in Kanpur 10 years ago and today. Kanpur, the financial capital of UP, will for sure rank first in the country, and the team here will definitely make it number one,” he said. The Deputy Chief Minister, who came to the city on Friday, also participated in various programmes in the city on Saturday. In the morning hours, he visited a Gaushala in Maharajpur and inspected Amrit Sarovar in Sarsaul block.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya stopped at an idol shop, where he bought a statue of one feet from the sculptor Akash Gautam.
