Vhp, Bajrang Dal Hold Stir, Recite ‘hanuman Chalisa’ | Kanpur News


Kanpur:Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal (BD) activists on Thursday staged dharna and demonstration at several places in the city in protest against the violence and attacks on Hindus in different places in the state.
During this, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists staged a sit-in and also recited ‘Hanuman Chalisa’.
The Hindutva organisations had announced a sit-in, demonstration in protest against the violence in the city on June 3 and subsequently on June 10 at many places including Kanpur and Prayagraj districts in the state, besides other parts of the country.
On Thursday morning, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists assembled at four places in the city. They staged a sit-in at the Ramadevi, Polytechnic and Khalasi Line Chauraha and in front of South district’s Kidwai Nagar police station.
After this, a memorandum addressed to the President was handed over to ACP Babu Purwa, Alok Singh.
The activists also raised slogans like ‘pattharbazon hosh me aao’ (stone-pelters come to senses).
The district administration and Commissionerate police remained on high alert in view of the protest.
