Kanpur: Aditya Singh Parihar’s six wicket haul helped Uma Electronics XI beat Mourya XI by 21 runs and moved into the final of first Surender Khanna & Manish Khanna memorial cricket tournament being played here at Sapru ground on Wednesday.
Deciding to bat first, Uma Electronics XI posted a total of 187 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Opener Sarthak Lohia and Aditya Tiwari gave a sound start scoring 109 runs for the opening wicket. Sarrthak scored 59 runs while Aditya contributed 44 runs. Other batsmen could not take the advantage of a solid start and they gave their wickets cheaply. Tirthraj Singh captured 3 wickets.
Mourya Electronics in reply could score 166 runs in 30.1 overs. Their eight batsmen could not reach double figures and four even failed to open their accounts. Akash Gaur and Aman Singh were main scorers and they scored 60 and 53 runs respectively. Aditya Singh caused maximum damage claiming 6 wickets for 34 runs .
