Transport, Highway Ministry Asked To Review Decision On Nh-91 | Kanpur News

Kanpur: District magistrate Kanpur Nagar Vishakh G on Tuesday wrote a letter to the Union minister for road transport and national highway, Government of India, urging it to its decision regarding National Highway No. 91 of constructing a six lane road between 421.350 km (Gol Chauraha) and 432.200 km (Rama Devi).
The district administration has suggested raising an elevated road between Gol Chauraha and Rama Devi crossing to reduce traffic load on GT Road. The same was included in the annual action plan of the ministry of road transport and highways and tenders were also invited for making a detailed project report. But instead of including the elevated corridor in the work plan for the financial year 2022- 23, the ministry of road transport and highways made a provision of six lanes. Meanwhile, the district magistrate also reviewed Kanpur-Aligarh road construction and new jail building at Narwal. Reprimanding the construction work agency, the DM said why the construction work was not started in the patch which had already been acquired. TNN
