Tech Mahindra surges on partnering with Telefonica Germany to digitally transform its microwave network


Tech Mahindra is currently trading at Rs. 1655.35, up by 19.90 points or 1.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 1635.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1635.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1661.25 and Rs. 1632.05 respectively. So far 41228 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1674.90 on 17-Dec-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 903.10 on 22-Dec-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1674.90 and Rs. 1577.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 160421.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 35.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.62% and 11.68% respectively.

Tech Mahindra has partnered with Telefonica Germany to digitally transform its microwave network with open software defined networking (SDN). Telefonica is working to standardise its management interface by collaborating with multiple vendors and partners. Tech Mahindra is helping Telefonica achieve this by bringing its domain expertise and continuous integration capabilities to the partnership. Tech Mahindra has been working with the telco to implement new standards for its DevOps model including enhancing its processes and requirements.

This includes the continuous management support of service operations for the organisation’s overall SDN Architectures. The project involves the deployment of microwave transmission automation aimed at elevating service delivery and network operations. All microwave devices in Telefonica Germany’s mobile backhaul network are accessible via a single harmonised Network API which supports an open microservice framework.
