Severe Heatwave Continues; No Respite Likely Soon: Met | Kanpur News

Kanpur: The scorching weather conditions continued in the region on Sunday. It was almost 45 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature too reached a record high of 28.6 degree Celsius. Thus, both day and night were extremely hot. On Saturday, the maximum temperature was 43.4 degrees and the minimum temperature was 25 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature made a high jump and reached 28.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The minimum temperature was more than three degrees above normal.
The Met department of CSA University stated that there will not be any relief from the severe heat and unbearable weather. The day temperature could go beyond 45 degree Celsius. According to the Met, sky will remain clear and there will be heatwave. There are no chances of rain. Due to such extreme weather conditions, city streets especially places like Mall Road, Phoolbagh wore a deserted look during the daytime. Only those people were out who had some work.
Such a harsh weather, made people to queue at juice shops. Cold drinks were the most preferred drink to beat the heat.
