Rs 175cr cash seized from trader tells why ‘Babua’ opposed DeMO: Yogi | Kanpur News

Kanpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath continued his attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav over recovery of over Rs 175-crore cash from Kanpur and Kannauj premises of perfume trader Piyush Jain.
“This was the reason why ‘Babua’ (Akhilesh) was opposing demonetisation (DeMo). The money meant for development projects of the district was reaching these people (SP),” he said.
“Not a single poor person got free houses under the SP government. Now, the money is coming out of the walls,” he said addressing a gathering at the Christian College ground on the occasion of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jan Vishwas Yatra reaching Farrukhabad on Wednesday.
“It’s due to good governance that money has been tumbling out from walls since the past four days. If there was a previous government, then this money would have gone to the opponents’ house, but now in our government, this money will be used for the development of the people,” the CM said, adding that the BJP provided accommodation to the poor. But, the feelings of the SP government were not for the poor.
CM Yogi said that the government will respect those who work for the betterment of the society. “Let the BJP government come again, the link of Ganga Expressway will go through Farrukhabad,” he said.
Targetting the Congress party over the Malegaon blast case, he accused the party of ‘encouraging’ and ‘nurturing’ terrorists and also for falsely implicating members of BJP-RSS and other Hindu organisations in the blast case during its regime. The CM also demanded an apology from the Congress for this ‘mischief’ against the nation.
“The Congress has ruled the nation for a maximum time. In a recent statement by Maharashtra ATS, it was revealed that BJP and RSS members were framed in false cases in the Malegaon Blast. ‘Congress ko desh ke khilaf is shararat ke liye maafi mangni chahiye’ (Congress should apologise the nation for such mischief),” he said, adding that the Congress during its governance played with the security of the nation.
“Aatankwadiyon ko prerit aur poshit karne wali ye Congress, desh ke saath kaise khilwad kar rahi hai kisi se chhupa nahi (Motivating and nurturing terrorists, how the games Congress is playing games with the nation is not hidden from anyone),” he added.
Lauding his government’s action against organized crime and mafia dons in the state, the CM said, “It was felt by us that without a bulldozer it would not work in taking back the illegal property. After that our government did not hesitate to run the bulldozer.”
CM said, “Earlier, riots used to happen in the state. But, no riots took place in the BJP’s regime of four and a half years.”
“During the tenure of 14 years of the SP and BSP governments, sugarcane price was not paid as much as the BJP government has done in four and a half years. The BJP government has paid the sugarcane price of Rs 1.51 lakh 51 thousand crore to the sugarcane farmers.”
The CM further said, “If even a brick becomes a factor for public welfare for development, then it should also have a price, it should also be respected and today, in Farrukhabad district, the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 200-crore has been laid.”
“During job recruitment drives in the SP government, the entire family of ‘Kauravas’ (SP) used to go out for recovery. But in the BJP government, 4.50 lakh unemployed people have been given jobs,” he added.
He also said that “they (opposition) encouraged terrorists only”. “Now, when they are out of power, they are opposing the work which is in the interest of the public,” he said.
The CM said, “Ask ‘bua’-’babua’ (indirect reference to BSP supremo Mayawati and SP president Akhilesh Yadav) where were these people during the Corona crisis. We and our ministers were roaming around in Corona time to save the lives of the people.”
“A grand Ram temple is being constructed in Ayodhya. Could ‘bua’ and ‘babua’ and Congress get the temple built? Don’t even expect this from those who opened fire on Ram devotees,” he further said.
