Pvt School Driver Found Drunk, Licence Suspended | Kanpur News


Kanpur: During a transport department’s drive to check school vehicles, a private school vehicle’s driver was found drunk in Nawabganj area of the city on Wednesday. When ARTO enforcement Vinay Pandey stoppede van and tested the driver with breathalyzer, the amount of alcohol turned out to be 283 points. The van has been seized by the police of Kohna police station and the driver’s licence has been suspended. To recall, on Tuesday, RTO officials had launched a drive and challaned 34 unfit school vehicles. A fine of Rs 15,000 was imposed on the vehicles flouting norms. Six vehicles were seized.
