National Youth, Eleven Star Defeat Rival Teams | Kanpur News

Kanpur: National Youth and Eleven Star defeated their rival teams in the quarter-final phase and moved into the semi-final of KDMA league held at different grounds here on Friday.
National Youth outplayed Kanpur Grand Club by a big margin of 140 runs at the PAC ground. Batting first, National Youth Club posted a total of 7 for 247 in 35 overs. Abhishek Bharti (69) and Anuj Sahu (57) hit half centuries for their team. Thereafter, National Youth’s bowlers wrapped the innings of Kanpur Grand Club on 107 runs. Raghav Sharma caused the maximum damage by claiming 5 wickets for 15 runs.
Eleven Star Club, in the second quarter-final, humbled Rashtriya Youth Club by 40 runs at the HAL ground. Eleven Star, putting into bat collected 164 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Ayush Yadav hit the highest 71 runs. Rashtriya Youth in reply collapsed on 124 runs. Abhinav Yadav scored 45 runs for his team while Rishabh Singh captured 3 wickets for 19 runs.
