Kanpur: In compliance with the directives of UP State Legal Service Authority, a National Lok Adalat will be organized in the Kanpur court on August 13.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of district judge Kanpur Nagar Mayank Kumar Jain to discuss ways to dispose of maximum cases in the forthcoming National Lok Adalat. Police commissioner, district magistrate, chief medical officer, nodal officer of the National Lok Adalat and secretary, District Legal Service Authority were present in the meeting.
The officials present in the meeting were of the view that maximum revenue cases should be settled in the Lok Adalat for which it has to be ensured that 100 percent notices are served through the police. The officers present in the meeting assured to settle maximum cases in the Lok Adalat.
Pratham Kant, additional district and sessions judge and nodal officer held a meeting with officers of the lead banks asking them to distribute pamphlets and hand bills with information about the National Lok Adalat at common public places so that maximum number of people could take advantage of the Lok Adalat.
