Kanpur: In order to seal and attach the properties in Lucknow of gangster Vikas Dubey, who was killed in the police encounter in the Bikru case, the district magistrate of Kanpur has called on his Lucknow counterpart.
Vikas Dubey was the main accused of the Bikru massacre wherein he and his aides had allegedly killed eight policemen, including a deputy SP rank official by spraying bullets on them on July 2 night 2020.
Vikas Dubey, his wife Richa Dubey, their sons and other relatives own properties in Kanpur, Lucknow and Kanpur Dehat districts.
Former Kanpur DM Neha Sharma had ordered to seal the properties of Vikas Dubey on the report of Chaubepur Police. On which further actions were being taken.
Around 12 properties have been sealed in Kanpur, only one located in Mataiyapurwa locality is left as its case is sub-judice. The properties of Kanpur Dehat have also been sealed. Till now the property of Lucknow could not be sealed. DM Kanpur Vishak G Iyer, said, “A reminder letter to this effect has been sent to Lucknow DM to confiscate the gangster’s properties there. A copy of the earlier order has been sent with this.”
