Kanpur: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from her home and subsequently gang-raped in Auraiya district.
The incident took place in a village in Achhalda police area late Friday night. The rape survivor was found in unconscious state behind a temple on Saturday morning. She has been admitted to the Community Health Centre for treatment.
Police said that the accused have been identified and raids are underway to make their arrest possible.
According to the family of the minor, they were sleeping in the house. At around 11.30 pm on Friday, the accused who resides in the neighbourhood abducted the girl. The accused then gangraped the girl at a secluded spot some distance away from her home.
When the family did not find the girl home in the late night hours, they mounted a search.
The girl was found lying in an unconscious state behind a temple on Saturday morning. The police later recorded her statement. Based on a complaint from the family, police have booked three neighbouring youths.
Additional superintendent of police Shishyapal said that on the basis of a complaint, accused Gauri, Nepali alias Devesh Kumar and Kuldeep are being booked under IPC sections of kidnapping and gang rape, besides POSCO Act. “Police teams are raiding their possible hideout to make their arrest possible,” the ASP added.
