manju: Woman Accused Of Killing 4-month-old Son Sent To Jail | Kanpur News


Kanpur: Manju Rathore, accused of killing her four-month-old son at the Central station late Thursday night, was sent to jail on Friday.
As per the post-mortem report, the cause of death of the child was stated to be bleeding.
According to the station’s CCTV footage, Manju Rathore, a native of Barauni village in Sandila area of Hardoi, reached platform number one of the Central station with her child at around 10 pm on Thursday. “At 12.16 am, she was spotted sitting at platform number 1 of the station. After this, she slit open the child’s neck with a knife and threw his body in the dustbin,” said GRP officials.
The incident came to light after the passengers informed the police when they saw blood at the platform.
The woman told the investigators that her son had been ailing from some kind of disease and also had worms in his stomach.
She had left the house three days ago with regard to the treatment of his son. The police called Manju’s first husband Vishnu, but he said that there was no relation with her now.
The GRP has registered a case against her under sections 302 and 201 (murder and destruction of evidence) and sent her to jail after producing her in the court.
