Man, His Two Brothers Kill Mason, Bury Body In Field | Kanpur News

Kanpur: A man with his two brothers allegedly killed a 28-year-old mason and buried his body in an agricultural field in Gangnauli village in Gajner police area of Kanpur Dehat district before ploughing the ground to avoid suspicion. Police have arrested one among the brothers, while two others were reported to be absconding.
The mason, identified as Arun Kumar, a resident of Panki Gangaganj, had been missing from his house since July 16 evening. His family members lodged a missing complaint on July 17.
The body of the mason was found late Tuesday night. Police suspecting it to be a murder over love-triangle.
“The mason was married, but he was in an alleged relationship with a woman hailing from Bidhnu’s Supai village. Going by the findings, the woman was also having an affair with one Sandeep of the same village. Sandeep and his brother Pawan were found to be missing from his house. We are raiding the possible hideouts of the two to make their arrest possible,” said ACP Kalyanpur Dinesh Kumar Shukla.
The accused allegedly shot dead Arun and then took his body to a field near Rind river in Gangnauli village in Gajner police area of Kanpur Dehat and buried him, the police said and added they also ploughed the ground so that people do not suspect anything amiss.
“During investigations, the investigating team was tipped off about Sandeep’s location. Subsequently, the police team raided the place and managed to arrest one of his brothers Amit, who and his brothers Sandeep and Pawan confessed to killing Arun by shooting him and burying his body in an agricultural field. On the basis of inputs, we went to the spot to verify it. We found the body buried there. Arun was shot in the chest. His body has been exhumed and sent for the post mortem examination,” the ACP said and added, “Now, we are in the process of arresting Sandeep and his other brother Pawan”.
