Kotwali Building To Get A Makeover | Kanpur News

Kanpur: Divisional commissioner Raj Shekhar and Smart City team has decided to renovate the Kowali building.
The commissioner, ADG Kanpur zone, police commissionerate, district magistrate Kanpur Nagar and the municipal commissioner inspected the work of multicolour façade lighting in Kanpur Kotwali which is being held under Kanpur Smart City project.
The project would be completed in 60 days and its total cost is Rs 2.02 crore.
The foundation stone of Kanpur Kotwali was laid 84 years ago by British governor Hetty Heg who performed its ‘Bhumi Pujan’ on March 10,1936. The double story building was built in 25 months and became operational on April 26, 1938. Its building was designed by ISE officer Rai Bahadur Sri Narayan.
