Kda To Organize Events On Int’l Yoga Day At 75 Locations | Kanpur News

Kanpur: Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) has decided to organize International Yoga Day at 75 places in the city under Amrit Mahotsav with an objective of making the citizens aware of yoga. The whole world would observe Yoga Day on June 21.
On the directions of KDA vice-chairman Arvind Singh, the KDA is going to organize the day in a grand manner at 75 parks developed under old and new schemes.

According to SB Rai, Public Relations officer KDA, the vice-chairman and a team of KDA on Sunday visited the main venue—the Botanical Garden near Ganga Barrage and witnessed the preparation for the Yoga Day.
Besides the Botanical Garden, programmes will also be organized at Mahaveer Nagar, Shatabdi Nagar, KDA Dreams, Signature Greens, KDA Residency, Jajmau Gate, Phoolbagh, Ekta Park, Gautam Buddha Park, Dayanand Vihar Central Park, Navsheel Dham Central Park etc.
In order to encourage ecology conservation, the vice-chairman will launch various projects like construction of a golf course, developing the back water of Ganga, a special park for butterflies, setting up Centre of Naturopathy, Ayurvedic-Yoga Meditation Centre etc.
The vice-chairman had recently invited Anand Mali Gavad, known as the ‘Lake Man of India’ to advise in the development of the Botanical Garden and other ponds as per the national standard.
The PRO said the Yoga Day is being organized by the KDA according to the theme of the 8th International Yoga Day–“Yoga for Humanity ” so that the general public of the city remain energetic and develop immunity to fight against diseases.
