gandhi maidan: ‘keep Cctv Cameras Functional At Gandhi Maidan For Eid Namaz’ | Patna News

PATNA: District magistrate (DM) Chandrashekhar Singh on Wednesday asked the officials to complete the preparations at the Gandhi Maidan here for offering namaz on the occasion of Eid, which is likely to be celebrated on May 2. About 30,000 devotees are likely to offer the Eid namaz at Gandhi Maidan.
The DM directed the officials to keep functional all the CCTV cameras installed there. Singh, along with Patna SSP Manavjeet Singh Dhillon, had inspected the ground on Tuesday.
Singh said the namaazis, either reaching on foot or by vehicles, would enter the ground through gate numbers 5, 7 and 10.
As a large number of devotees are likely to reach there for offering namaz, the DM asked the traffic SP to identify space and make arrangements for parking slots on the north-eastern and east-southern parts of the ground.
Singh said while the executive engineer of the building construction department, in coordination with the Gandhi Maidan police station SHO, would ensure barricading of the parking slot and its levelling, the executive engineer of public health and engineering department would arrange three water tanks in consultation with the president of Namaaz-e-Edain committee, Mahmood Alam.
Four water ATMs would also be installed at identified sites in the eastern part of Gandhi Maidan.
The Patna civil surgeon has been directed to depute medical personnel.
