Four Minor Children Who Went Missing Reunite With Parents | Kanpur News

Kanpur: Four minor children, aged between 12 years-14 years, who went missing from the Gujaini area of the City on Sunday, were reunited with their parents on Tuesday. The boys’ parents had staged a road blockade on Monday demanding the authorities to locate them. Deepak (14), Abhay (12), Kishan (12) and Sawan (14), all residents of Gujaini, went missing after they left their house to take bath in Panki canal on Sunday. Though they had returned home in the evening, and were spotted sitting at the highway, they thereafter disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Their family members later lodged a written complaint with the Gujaini police station regarding the disappearance of the four. On Monday evening, the parents and family members of the boys, besides locals, had assembled and blocked the Gujaini highway. Meanwhile, a police team engaged in the search for the missing boys managed to locate the four boys in the Panki area, he said. The police brought the boys to the police station and interrogated them. The children told the police a strange reason for their escape. “They said that as their family members did not take them for an outing, they had fled to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. As they were running short of money, one among the boys had sold off his bicycle to a scrap dealer to manage their trip to Agra”, the police officer further said. tnn
