Five Killed, Eight Injured In Separate Accidents | Kanpur News


Kanpur: Five persons were killed and eight got injured in two separate road accidents in early morning hours on Friday in Auraiya district after UPSRTC bus of Auraiya depot, allegedly coming from the wrong side, collided with a four-wheeler carrying nine persons on Bela-Bidhuna road.
Four occupants of the car, including the driver died. The bodies of the deceased and the injured were somehow pulled out from the mangled remains of the car.

Condition of the injured -Jogesh, Deepu, Jagat Singh, Kallu, Premkumar, residents of Lavedi, Ugharpura police station in Etawah, is said to be critical, said the police. The deceased were identified as driver- Shailendra (24), Geeta (42) and Sushila (45) and eight-year-old Golu. They all died at the spot. They all were returning home after taking bath in the Ganga river in Kannauj.
“On information, police teams of Bela police station and Bidhuna Kotwali rushed to the spot. On the basis of the identity of the injured and the deceased, their family members have been informed. All of them have been admitted to Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences Saifai in Etawah,” said a police official.
Bela SHO Jivaram said that the searches are underway to arrest the bus driver.
In another accident which took place near village Purva Rawat on Bela-Dibiyapur road, one person was killed while three others were injured when a van, in which they were travelling, overturned. “Five people died and eight were injured in the two road accidents. They all have been admitted to the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences Saifai in Etawah,” said a police official.
