district panchayat: District Panchayat Meeting Held, Revised Budget Gets Approved | Kanpur News


Kanpur: District Panchayat, on Thursday, approved the revised budget for year 2021- 22 of Rs 78,88,73,765 against Rs 94,31,23,288 in a meeting held here at district Panchayat auditorium. The members also gave their consent for the expenditure of Rs 42,40,27,765 against the estimated original budget of Rs 58,32, 69,127 for the financial year 2022-23.
The members and block heads raised the problems related to potable water, stray cows, roads, power supply.
Swapnil Varun chairman district Panchayat asked the officials to repair defunct hand pumps and those who could be made operative after reboring should be rebored in rural areas to solve the problem of water scarcity.
Apart from it, she said that in the areas where water tanks were being raised and pipelines were being laid down under ‘Ghar Ghar Nal Yojna’ must be completed on the priority basis. Directing power department officials, the chairman asked them to follow the stipulated roster of power supply and ensure proper water supply in their respective jurisdiction. Roads made under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna should be repaired.
About stray cows, Varun asked the officials to expand the capacity of permanent and temporary cow shelter houses of the district .
The chairman asked the officials to raise a big hall in which the house meeting could take place. She asked the officials to solve the public interest issues on priority basis. She also asked to seek explanations from the officials who were absent in the meeting.
Abhijeet Singh Sanga ,Rahul sonkar, both MLA Suresh Awasthi, representative of assembly speaker, members, and block heads and other officials were present in the meeting.
