Cop ‘threatens’ Trader Of Sending Him To Pakistan; Inquiry Ordered | Kanpur News


Kanpur: Additional superintendent of police, Kanpur (Outer) has ordered a probe after a police outpost in-charge was accused of threatening a businessman and telling him that he would send him to Pakistan.
An audio clip of the purported conversation between Sachendi police station’s Chakkarpur Sabzi Mandi outpost in-charge sub-inspector Surendra Narayan and trader Asif went viral on social media, in which the sub-inspector is heard telling the man that he will send him to Pakistan after asking for his name. He had allegedly called the trader after receiving a complaint against him for not paying the dues to another businessman.
When Narayan asked Asif to reach the police station, the latter said that he would come after some time. Subsequently, an argument ensued between the two, after which the out-post in charge asked the man’s name. When he introduced himself as Asif, the sub-inspector allegedly threatened to send him to Pakistan.
Additional superintendent of police, Kanpur (Outer) Aditya Kumar Shukla said, “Following an audio clip that went viral on Wednesday, a probe has been ordered against the Sabzi Mandi outpost in-charge in this regard. Necessary action will be initiated after investigation.”
