Complete Admissions Under Rte Within Two Days: Dm To Principals | Kanpur News


Kanpur: District magistrate Vishak G Iyer, on Thursday, asked the school principals to adopt a sensitive approach regarding the admissions of children under Right to Education Act.
In a meeting with the school principals, the DM directed them to admit the children in schools allocated under the Right to Education in the next two days, and check that all the formalities were completed. Besides, they were also directed to show a sensitive attitude towards the parents and to not send the children back after taking admissions.
During the meeting, the vacant seats left after admissions were also discussed.
There had been some incidents where the application for a ward was sent at the address of another ward.
The DM directed the principals that in such cases the details of relevant schools be provided to the Basic Shiksha Adhikari in the next two days.
In another direction to Basic Shiksha Adhikari, the DM asked to form a committee consisting additional district magistrate (L&A), BSA, DIoS and principals of four schools and prepare a checklist of the required documents for admissions under the RTE Act for next year to maintain uniformity in the district.
ADM (L&A) Satyendra Kumar, BSA Sujit Kumar and all BSAs and principals of the schools were present in the meeting.
