Kanpur: Additional sessions judge (XVIth), Kanpur Nagar, Jitendra Kumar Dwivedi on Thursday rejected the bail application of seven accused who too have been charged by the police under sections 147/ 148/149/307 /323/ 332/333 /336/353/ 427/504 /506/120 B of IPC and 7 Criminal Amendment Act and 3/4 Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 in Parade, Nai Sadak violence which took place on June 3.
The seven accused whose bail applications were rejected were Mohd Nasir, Mohd Parhaj, Asif Ali, Farhan Kalia, Naseem, Shahanshah alias Nayeem, Arshad and Arshad, all residents of Nai Sadak area.
According to additional district government counsel, Dinesh Agarwal, counsels for the accused had claimed in the bail application that their clients were innocent and fabricated in this false case. The FIR of the incident was lodged after many hours. If the court would grant him bail then they would appear in the court on each date and comply with all directions of the court.
