Alert In City After Tailor In Udaipur Hacked To Death | Kanpur News

Kanpur: An alert has been sounded in the city on Tuesday in view of the Udaipur incident, wherein a tailor was hacked to death for supporting Nupur Sharma.
Tight vigil is being maintained near the sensitive pockets, especially Parade and Nai Sadak areas where violence had erupted on June 3 during protest against Sharma.
Patrolling has been strengthened near sensitive areas in and around Parade and Nai Sadak, besides other communally sensitive areas and additional forces have been deployed, said Commissioner of Police Vijay Singh Meena.
“We are on our guard in view of the situation. Going by the incident, maximum alert has been sounded in sensitive areas, besides keeping strict vigil on social media users,” said the official further. “We are checking suspects vigorouslyduring patrolling. We have deployed additional forces also,” he said, adding, “RAF, SWAT and PAC teams are being deployed strategically.”
Checking of suspicious vehicles entering such localities has been intensified, he said.
