Admin Suspends E-buses’ Operations For Three Days | Kanpur News

Kanpur: Following second accident involving E-bus, the district administration has suspended the operation of all E-buses for a period of three days. Divisional Commissioner, Raj Shekhar said that looking into the repeated issue with E-bus, it has been ordered that the operation of all E-Buses shall remain suspended for next three days.
He said that ADM city & DCP traffic will enquire into and will give a preliminary report. A technical committee of officers of RTO, Regional Manager Road ways, Nagar Nigam (Mechanical Team) and HBTU Mechanical Department expert has been constituted to ensure hundred percent physical checking of all buses for fitness in next three days and also to check out whether the drivers are well trained or not. Commissioner said that the bus operations agency and the Bus Construction Agency (PMI) have been called to Kanpur from Lucknow to look into this issue immediately and to report to MD city transport. Accordingly necessary steps will be taken. Commissioner also asked electric bus operations company to give compensation to the injured in this incident in next 24 hours.
