3 Cousins Run Over By A Truck, Shocked Grandma Also Dies | Patna News

BIHARSHARIF: Three youths of the same family were run over by a truck on the state highway 78 near Kazichak village under Rahui police station area in Nalanda district in the wee hours on Friday. Shocked after hearing the news, their 60-year-old grandmother suffered a massive heart attack and also passed away.
The deceased were returning home on a bike after attending the wedding of their cousin Ranjeet Kumar, son of Dayanand Paswan, at village Dahma under Bind police station area, one of their relatives, Dukhan Paswan said.
The deceased were identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Vidyanand Paswan, Raju Kumar, son of Pukar Paswan and Bunti Kumarm, son of Upendra Paswan.
They were cousins and belonged to village Pranchak under Chandi police station area. Dukhan said soon after the sad news reached the village, their grandmother Pratima Devi also passed away.
Angry relatives and villagers blocked the Bihta-Sarmera road near their village for over two hours demanding compensation to the next of the kin of the deceased.
They also partially damaged the truck. The driver had managed to escape.
The protesters lifted the blockade after Rs20,000 was paid under social security scheme to the kin of each deceased.DSP (law & order) Sushil Kumar said the bodies were handed to their relatives after postmortem at Biharsharif Sadar hospital. He said a case has also been registered in this regard.
On May 8 this year, a father-son duo were killed near village Dihra under the same police station area after a speeding car hit their two-wheeler.
