25 Students Of Kanpur Univ Rewarded In Spl Campaign | Kanpur News


Kanpur: As many as 25 students of Kanpur University were rewarded in the special awareness campaign organized by the regional office of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the University of Health Sciences auditorium here on Wednesday.
In the programme the youths were asked to take part in the economic development of the country.
Vandana Pathak, an ayurveda expert in her address said that the Startup India scheme introduced on April 5, 2016 aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship for economic empowerment and to provide benefits of institutional loans to poor people .
Prof. Suvigya Awasthi, dean of industrial relations, said the government has made a hassle-free registration system in the online portal under this scheme.
The government assistance under Startup India could be obtained on a priority basis. The object of Start-Up India programme is to establish an appropriate atmosphere for economic development and create employment , he said.
Addressing the audience, Praveen Katiyar said the Startup was meant to provide financial assistance to youths through banks while regional publicity officer Gaurav Tripathi said the scheme has several benefits.
The SCs/STs and women beneficiaries can get financial assistance from Rs 10 lakh to Rs one crore, said Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi, director of the Development Council. The banks had sanctioned around Rs 25,586 crore for 1,14,322 Startup accounts in the last five years, he said.
