200 schools of Kanpur rural areas to be developed into model schools | Kanpur News


Kanpur: Around 200 schools of Kanpur district’s rural areas will be developed into model schools. District magistrate Vishakh, in a meeting held here at Vikas Bhawan auditorium, selected 200 schools for the purpose.
According to official sources, schools have been picked from each development block for converting into model schools.
The district magistrate directed the officials to identify schools that would be developed under Kaya Kalp scheme and construction therein would be connected with studies.
Child-friendly atmosphere would be developed in school premises. To achieve the target, around 30 master trainers have been trained through UNICEF. These master trainers would train the village pradhans, secretaries and teachers of identified schools from October 27, 2021.
DM also directed the master trainers that any change which would take place in the school should be made according to model school. Under it, separate lavatories for boys and girls, interlocking pathway from main gate to school verandah, wall painting on boundary wall would be performed in the schools under the scheme.
Smart class will also be raised in selected 200 schools. Through that students would be taught online.
Chief development officer Dr Mahendra Kumar, Kumar Vikram, representative UNICEF, district panchayat raj adhikari, and district inspector of schools were present in the meeting.
