Kanpur: A 15-year-old boy died in Kannauj after being allegedly beaten up by a teacher of a local intermediate college. Jahangir, a resident of Paschim Madaiya Kasawa village of Kotwali Chhibramau, stated in his complaint that his son Dilshad alias Raja on July 23 had gone to a private intermediate college located at Ramlila Maidan area to get admission in class IX.
“At around 11 am, a teacher called him and accused him of stealing a watch. Thereafter, he was taken to the room and locked and beaten up along with fellow teachers following which he suffered injuries,” he stated. He then came back home and narrated the ordeal he went through. Subsequently, he was admitted to a nearby hospital, he stated in his complaint. On July 24 evening, when there was no sign of improvement, he was referred to Kanpur, where he died during the treatment at a private hospital at 8 pm on July 25, he stated further. The boy’s parents gave a written complaint in this regard to Chhibramau police on Monday. Inspector Chhibramau police station Jaiprakash Sharma reached the village and investigated the matter.
“A complaint has been received to register a case. The matter is being investigated. It also came to fore that the student was reeling under some kind of ailment. The details will be clear after the post-mortem report,” said the inspector further. tnn
